There are a wide range of options for this from purchase to refinance and can be available for sole tenants, student lets and houses of multiple occupation (HMO). Many lenders now differentiate applicants by way of number of properties owned, a client with more than four properties will usually be considered a portfolio landlord. The loan is usually based on the rental income from the property.
